Alison, a member of our church and an itinerant evangelist works for The RSVP Trust since 2003. She is involved regularly with preaching in churches both locally and nationally, has set up a Female Evangelists Network. In Rwanda, Alison has been granted permission by the Rwandan government to minister to prisoners . She has been ministering in the prisons here and in Uganda since 2004 and has seen hundreds respond to Christ when she visits.
Calister, Jaya, Sheetal & Raj – Hyderbad, India
Calister, an ordained Baptist minister has links with our church going back more than 10 years. He turned his back on a potentially lucrative Bollywood career following a dramatic conversion. Their life is challenging, working amongst slum communities. They focus mostly on establishing schools and setting up sewing centres to help women & girls to earn a living combined with discipleship training. Calister also has oversight responsibility for village pastors over a wide area.
Dave & Helen Hobbs, Zimbabwe (themichaelproject.org)
Dave & Helen are known to some in the church and work in Zimbabwe with The Michael Project, whose prime aim is to provide care for vulnerable children such as orphans or those with parents in prison. Whilst the economy is not as desperate now as it has been, children are often treated appallingly, in part because of extreme poverty & deprivation. By addressing physical, emotional and spiritual needs the children served by the Michael Project have hope and a future.
Dave Lodge - UK - Christian Vision for Men (cvm.org.uk)
Dave is a church member and has been works with the organisation CVM which has the aim of introducing men to Jesus and seeing them routed in Christian communities. Dave is responsible for all media and technical aspects of the work including website design, video production and publication of materials, magazines and books.

Ginny Perkins - D. R. Congo - Central Africa Missions (camafrica.org)
Ginny is a former member of our church and works with Carol in the DR Congo. Ginny & Carol have a wide variety of ministries that include local radio & TV programmes, visits to the local prisons & mineral digger camps, discipleship training, basic skills training & encouraging local pastors. They have a real passion for the local people and an amazing faith to see God work. Ginny enjoys worship and she writes and records worship songs.
Matt & Lydia - South East Asia
Members of the church since 2001, we sent Matt, Lydia and their two children to a sensitive country in South East Asia in 2013 where they are involved in holistic mission activities. To learn more about their work, or to get involved in supporting them, please contact the church office.

Pete is a member of our church who has a passion for sports based ministry, after spending time with Ambassadors in Sport in South Africa he is now serving as “Young People’s Ministry Leader” at OASIS church in Durban, SA. He is married to Kierra who is Programs Manager at Seed of Hope community development project in Durban.
Sam & Val Duval - Sommières, France
Sam & Val spent about 1 year with us in Billericay as part of Sam’s training to be a Baptist Pastor. He worked as the pastor of a church in Sens and became the Head of the Home Mission for the French Baptist Federation. In 2012 Sam planted and is now the pastor of a new church in the Sommières region of Southern France. They have a son, Thomas.

SMB, founded in 1992 and with the support of Churches Together in Billericay, offers assemblies, lessons, lunch time groups and community support to all 16 local schools seeking to assist the 6000 pupils to evaluate Christianity as a way of life. SMB recognises that schools are places of education and seek to work with them in appropriate ways, believing that Christians have a responsibility to make a positive contribution to the whole school community.

A full-time band that spend the majority of their time working in high schools taking the good news of God’s love and forgiveness to young people who may never have met a genuine Christian, let alone been to a church. Taste are passionate about reaching outside the walls of churches and meeting young people that don’t know Jesus and use their own songs that are thought provoking and relevant to a teenage audience. Since January 2015 the band have become part of Youth For Christ, touring as one of their mission teams and is made up from young Christians who are keen to communicate their faith using their gifts.
Tim & Jenny Gooding - Romania
Living and working as missionaries in Romania since December 2002. To begin with, they worked alongside Prison Fellowship Romania with Jenny as an administrator, but over the years have developed own foundation ‘Misiunea Crestina Luca’ enabling humanitarian work in the country. Their desire is to help less privileged families with clothes, medicines vitamins etc, and to show the love of Jesus who called them to serve him in Romania.
